Fast-growing acoustic solutions experts Oscar Acoustics has announced that it is recruiting new team members as a result of successful business growth.

The Kent-based company is currently on the search for up to eight new recruits working alongside the acoustic spray installation teams as well as a sales support role and a Quantity Surveyor, who will be based at its West Kingsdown office.

“Company turnover has been growing by around a third year-on-year since 2018 so we’re now ready to expand our workforce and increase the number of projects we take on. This is a great opportunity for ambitious individuals to be a part of our continued success story”, said Ben Hancock, managing director at Oscar Acoustics.

Primarily, the business is in need of ‘Edgers’ – employees who will can add the finishing touches to acoustic sprays once applied to surfaces such as walls or ceilings. Initially working alongside the spray installation teams, staff will receive full training, often working on some of Britain’s most high profile and interesting architectural projects.

Hancock added: “Our work takes us over Great Britain and the fast-paced nature of the business means each day is different, with a constant change of scenery. For the right candidates, there’s also a lot of potential for progression.”

As the UK’s leading provider of seamless acoustics sprays and acoustic plasters, Oscar Acoustics have worked on some of Britain’s most prestigious buildings including The Royal Albert Hall, Tate Modern, O2 Arena as well as high-end dining such as Dishoom, HIDE restaurant, London and Yotam Ottolenghi’s restaurants, NOPI and ROVI.

Hancock continued: “Average project sizes have increased significantly over the years, with 20,000m2 plus now being a regular thing; our largest project being well in excess of 100,000m2. It means we need more installation teams to help meet the demand and continue growing.

“We’re anticipating a high volume of applicants and it’s likely that these roles won’t be around for long. We ask anyone who would like to join the Oscar Acoustics team to apply as soon as possible to ensure they’re in with a chance.”
