HMRC, Amazon, PayPal and government websites crash due to colossal global error

Millions of the world’s most popular global websites crashed on Tuesday which included HMRC, PayPal, Ebay, amazon and the UK government.

People trying to access access, The Guardian, FT and the New York Times crashed this morning showing messages such as “connection failure” and “Error 503 Service Unavailable.”

It is thought that a Content Distrubution Network (CDN) whih is a network of proxy servers along with their data centres are having a problem.

The service monitoring website Down Detector, has shown a spike in reports of outages on Amazon Web Services, although all services are now back up and running.
