Leading global governance body, the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, has cemented its ‘Digital First Strategy’ to improve stakeholder experience and drive strategic growth, after appointing outcomes-focused digital consultancy, Equantiis.

Established in 1891, the Chartered Governance Institute [CGI] has been the ‘home of good governance’ for over 130 years and boasts 40,000 members and students worldwide.

In recognising that the roles and subsequent interests of governance professionals have changed in recent years, particularly with evolving regulations across different industry sectors, the CGI sought to implement a Digital First Strategy to improve membership experience and drive operational efficiencies.

Seeking to leverage independent expert thinking and experience to guide the Institute through an expert review of the current digital experience, the CGI appointed proven digital consultancy, Equantiis.

Following in-depth member interviews and an accompanying survey, Equantiis captured key insights from CGI’s stakeholders, enabling the consultancy to complete a thorough analysis of digital user experience with clear personas in mind.

As a result, Equantiis was able to make a number of conclusions and recommendations to improve CGI’s digital services and membership experience, while delivering a transformation roadmap to enhance operational efficiencies. This has enabled CGI to make informed user-centric decisions about their content and digital channels, cementing its ‘Digital First’ approach.

Alistair Sergeant, CEO of Equantiis, explained: “The Equantiis team have thoroughly enjoyed supporting the CGI and are confident that the transformation roadmap provided will now aid the institute to effectively plan activities in priority order, while giving insight into indicative timescales and budgets to support wider programme planning.

The CGI is working hard to remain current in the evolving digital age and key tech developments, like enhanced user experience, will prove beneficial in retaining and attracting members to support strategic growth.”

Headquartered in London, Equantiis digitally empowers organisations across higher education, membership, not-for-profit and commercial sectors to deliver the best possible customer experience with operational excellence.

In 2020, the digital consultancy developed ‘Niico’, a leading intelligent automation platform using AI, ML, RPA and OCR technologies.
